Minimise Waste. Just because you’re getting rid of things, that doesn’t mean they all have to go to landfill. If it’s clothes, consider selling your items on reselling platforms, so you can earn some money at the same time! Otherwise, investigate donating to charity shops, recycling or repurposing your items
Break it down into manageable tasks. If you’re moving house, or are even just renovating one room, it can be daunting to go through everything you own. An excellent way to deal with this is to break down decluttering into small tasks. For example, dedicate one day to just going through kitchenware, and perhaps another for clothing. If it hasn’t been used in the past year, it’s probably not going to be used in the next year either! Come up with a rule that works for you and stick to it.
